Very low maintenance lash treatment
There has been a lot of buzz around ombré eyebrows lately but when top brow experts mention them and say they are “the number one technique being applied to A-list clients”, then one wonders what are they exactly? Surely we would all notice a drastic gradient effect on the bulk of Hollywood’s brows? Turns out the answer is no.
Ombré may make us think of the hair trend that is thankfully ending, but it is much more subtle on the brows. The process is a blending of colour using brow tint. Typically, to appear bolder, the brow is made to look darker at the arch. Think of it as the lowlights you might have in your hair but for your brows instead. The subtle colour transition adds depth to otherwise feeble looking brows. It also looks MUCH more natural!

LVL stands for Length, Volume, Lift.
LVL was developed by the Nouveau Lashes in-house design team. They recognised that there was a market for natural lash enhancements, particularly for people who didn’t want lash extensions.
No. Clients often find LVL treatments extremely relaxing. They can relax and close their eyes throughout the treatment.
Although LVL is great for many people, it’s not suitable for everyone. People who have a medical contraindication to the treatment, or who have experienced an allergic reaction to the patch test, cannot have LVL. Also, it’s only suitable for people who have their own natural lashes. Finally, people with excessively brittle or fine eyelashes may not be able to benefit from LVL.
Yes – LVL can provide lift to downward-pointing lashes
Yes. You can have lash extensions added to your LVL Lashes. In fact, LVL treatments are particularly good for people who want lash extensions, but have downward-pointing lashes. Lash extensions can cause downward-pointing lashes to lower even further. With LVL they can get the essential lift they need before the extensions are added. Don’t forget though – you must wait 48 hours after an LVL treatment before having lash extensions applied.
There are a number of things that could have caused this:
This could be because the protein removal step was skipped or not enough protein was removed from the lashes. If this happens, you need to leave a gap of 7 days before repeating the LVL procedure. This is very important because the lashes need time to rehydrate.
Technicians – ensure you are using enough lifting balm to break down the disulphide bonds in the lashes. Another possibility is that you haven’t used enough bonding to hold them on to the shield. Finally, it may be that some of the lashes are on a newer growth cycle and are harder to bond due to their shorter length.
This is likely to be due to a mistake in applying the anti-wrinkle gel pads. If they were not covering the lower lashes fully, then these lashes may have come in to contact with LVL products.
This could have been caused by lifting balm or volumising fix being applied to the entire lash. These products should only be applied to the central part of the lashes, not the extreme roots or tips.
This is because the lashes have been crossed when being bonded to the shields. It is essential that you look at the lashes carefully when lifting them on to the shield, using your LVLeye tool to straighten any lashes prior to application of the lifting balm.
You can apply LVL to tinted lashes, but you should wait until permed lashes have grown out and replenished themselves. For both, you should look at the health of the lashes and decide whether they are strong and healthy enough for the treatment before proceeding.
Poor product knowledge and little or no hands-on experience can result in lash technicians producing poor quality results. Getting expert guidance when learning any beauty treatment is vital. Most importantly, it is not possible to obtain insurance without a certificate from an approved training course.
