With the permanent eyebrows procedure, the eyebrow shape isn’t just drawn onto the face flatly.  Instead, it involves creating the illusion of real hair.  This means creating many strokes of different lengths and making sure that the hair strokes are applied in a natural direction relative to each part of the eyebrow.  A WOW brow one hair at a time!  Watch the Video below of the permanent eyebrows procedure or Tattooed Eyebrows.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Permanent Makeup

Do I need to have a consultation prior to my treatment?

This is optional.  It is always preferable but for clients travelling from further away, it is sometimes easier for them to have a consultation at the start of their treatment and  therefore saving them a journey.  For clients choosing this option, a sensitivity patch-test will be posted to you to complete at home beforehand.  During a consultation, Diane will discuss with you about shape, colour and what you want to achieve.  Diane will use her knowledge and talent to help you decide the permanent makeup that suits your facial structure, skin tone, hair colour, image and lifestyle.  Free initial consultation on all treatments.  Take your patch test and get ready for the transformation!

Do I have to pay a deposit for my permanent makeup treatment?

Yes, a deposit of £50 is payable, which is redeemed against your first permanent eyebrows treatment.

How long will the procedure take?

After the initial consultation, the first procedure will take about 120 minutes, dependent on the work carried out.  Your follow up appointment usually takes about 60 mins – 120 mins dependent on any adjustments.

How long will my enhancement last?

This depends on factors such as age and lifestyle.  It is preferable to call it permanent makeup, because although your permanent makeup will fade, there is no guarantee that it will completely disappear.  So to be safe, it is called permanent makeup.  Most clients require two initial sessions to complete the treatment.  To maintain the colour intensity of your enhancement, it is recommended to return for a colour boost every 18 months, which is charged at £100.  The touch-ups take less time to complete about 4 – 6 weeks after the initial treatment and are charged at £65.

Will it hurt?

Many clients describe the sensation as a ‘mild scratchy’ feeling, whilst others say they feel a ‘buzzing sensation’.  On a scale of 1 -10, most clients rate the discomfort between 0 -3.

How will I look straight after my treatment?

Immediately after procedure, your colour will appear darker and more intense.  This will lighten and soften over 3 -7 days.  Mild redness or swelling may occur for the first couple of days, particularly with eye and lip treatments.  However, normal activity can be resumed immediately following the treatment.

How long will it take to heal?

Generally, the colour will be stronger and more sharply defined for about 3 -7 days.  You may also experience light to moderate swelling, especially with eye and lip procedures.  After the initial three days, the healing skin will begin to gently flake off and the treated area will lighten.  In many cases it may be too light, so to achieve the best possible results for you, we offer a touch-up at £50 to refine and perfect the results, about 4 -6 weeks after your initial treatment.

Is the process sometimes called eyebrow tattoos?

The process used is similar to that of a tattoo but the depth of implantation is much less at 0.5 mm instead of 3-4 mm.  The process is sometimes called eyebrow tattooing, eyebrow tattoo or cosmetic tattooing.

What is the difference between semi permanent and permanent makeup?

The process is the same.  It largely depends on what the the beautician / technician likes to call it.  It is preferable to call it permanent makeup, because although your permanent makeup will fade, there is no guarantee that it will completely disappear.  So to be safe, it is called permanent makeup.
